Letters to the Names of the Dead

  Dear Justin Garcia

Read the letter in a left to right monotone building anxiety with the deadpan so that's it's unclear if the content is affecting you

Read the letter aware of the way you had read the letters before this one, changing to a different volume, with a range of whispering to shouting

Read the letter while uncrossing your legs then cross them in the other direction

Read the letter only inside your head

Read the letter as two separate pieces (because it got ripped in half when you opened the envelope holding) the pieces apart so when you need to finish a line or a word there is a pause

Lip sync the letter

Read the letter after you turn it upside down so that you're head is twisting the way you would be drinking water from a sink faucet

Read the beginning of the letter then give up

Read the letter but be one step ahead of it changing the content as you go along

Read the letter almost crying because of the content of the letter

Read the letter standing on the paper, only reading what is visible around your shoes

Don't read the letter just stick your tongue out and lick it until the taste of ink makes you stop

Read the letter holding it at the farthest distance your arms can reach and squint to see the letter

Read the letter after puncturing it with your letter opener to fixate it on the wall behind the desk; do this while standing on the desk looking down at the letter.
