From July 24, 2006 to July 24, 2007, I wrote a letter to every person in The United States Military who had been announced as a casualty of The War in Iraq. The letters are handwritten and addressed to individual servicemen on the day their death is announced by the Department of Defense. On February 9, 2008, I concluded the project with an un-mailing of 100 letters in blank envelopes at a post office box, in Oakland, CA.
